JDM Drive · Japanese import car dealership · SEO — organic search · 2026
How a JDM importer built 37,831 organic clicks from nothing
People who want a right-hand-drive Skyline do not search for "used cars". They search for a chassis code. That is a gift, if the site is built to answer it.

01 — The challenge
A brand-new domain in a category where buyers search by chassis code.
JDM Drive sources genuine Japanese Domestic Market vehicles directly from Japan and sells them out of San Antonio, Texas. It is a real inventory business: stock arrives, sells, and is replaced.
The site launched with no organic history at all. Meanwhile the demand it needed to capture is unusually specific — buyers search for model and chassis designations, import years, and eligibility rules, not for generic dealership terms.
“My buyer already knows more about the car than most dealers do. If my page cannot answer the question he actually typed, he assumes I do not have the car.”
So the site was built around the way that buyer searches, not around the way dealerships usually write.
02 — Our approach
Model-level pages, import-rule content, and a feed that stays crawlable.
Inventory was organised so that each make and model line could hold ranking authority even as individual cars sold, which is the central problem with dealership SEO: the money pages keep disappearing.
Alongside inventory, content was built for the questions that gate the purchase — import eligibility, the twenty-five-year rule, shipping and registration — because those searches arrive months before a buyer is ready.
This property has eleven reported months and no prior year, so every figure here is an absolute. No growth percentage is manufactured against a baseline that does not exist.
03 — What we did
Model-line architecture, import-rule content, technical foundations.
Building an organic footprint on a domain that had none.
Model-line architecture
Gave authority somewhere permanent to live
Make and model lines hold the rankings, so a sold car does not take a ranking page with it. Individual listings feed the line rather than competing with it.
Chassis-code coverage
Matched the way import buyers actually search
Coverage was written for model and chassis designations and import years, which is where the 1.61 million impressions came from.
Import-rule content
Answered the questions that gate the purchase
Eligibility, the twenty-five-year rule, shipping, and registration. These searches arrive long before a buyer is ready to commit to a car.
Honest measurement
Absolutes only, and GA4 kept out of it
Eleven reported months with no comparable prior year, so no growth percentage is claimed. GA4 here is all-channel and is not used to support an organic figure.
04 — The results
Eleven months: 37,831 organic clicks and 1.61M impressions.
