Busuu · Language learning app · Performance-driven user acquisition · 2026
How Busuu showed real language learning instead of describing it
Every language app makes the same promise. The difference is whether you believe anyone actually kept it.

01 — The challenge
A promise every competitor makes identically.
Busuu competes in a category where every app claims fluency and every ad looks alike — cheerful people, flags, streak counters.
What is actually persuasive is seeing the language used in a real situation.
“Everyone promises fluency in three months. Nobody believes it. What people believe is watching someone order coffee in a language they only just learned.”
So creators demonstrated real-life use cases rather than app features.
02 — Our approach
60+ creators showing real-life use cases in feed and stories.
Over sixty creators were activated to show real-life language learning situations — using the language, not describing the app — across in-feed posts and stories.
The programme produced 450-plus total assets, with 300-plus live Instagram posts and 100-plus live stories, giving acquisition a deep and varied library.
