NielsenIQ — Global UGC at scale

NielsenIQ · Consumer research panels · Global UGC at scale · 2026

How NielsenIQ recruited panelists in 20+ languages with UGC

Panel recruitment is unglamorous, high-volume acquisition. It is also a category where trust decides whether somebody signs up at all.

Timeline

Ongoing acquisition programme

01 — The challenge

Recruiting research panelists across four continents at once.

NielsenIQ needs panelists in specific markets, languages and demographics — a recruitment problem more than a branding one, running across Europe, North America, Latin America and Southeast Asia simultaneously.

At that spread, a centralised creative process becomes the bottleneck.

“We are not selling a product, we are asking people to give us their time every month. That only works if the invitation comes from someone who sounds like them.”

So creator supply was industrialised rather than commissioned.

02 — Our approach

A creator engine producing 100 assets a month across five channels.

The programme ran roughly 100 unique creators every month, in-language, across more than 17 countries — a supply line rather than a campaign, feeding five separate digital acquisition channels.

With an eight-figure media budget behind it, creative volume is the constraint on efficiency: more in-market variants means more chances to find the version that recruits cheaply in each language.

03 — What we did

What the campaign actually consisted of.

The working parts behind the NielsenIQ numbers above.

100 creators a month

A supply line, not a campaign

Continuous in-language creator output kept every market stocked with fresh creative.

Creator asset grid

20+ languages

In-language, not translated

Recruitment creative was produced by speakers in each market rather than localised after the fact.

Creative from the campaign

5+ acquisition channels

Diversified beyond one platform

Creative fed more than five digital acquisition channels, each with its own format requirements.

Volume matched to spend

At eight-figure spend, creative supply is what determines how efficiently the budget can be deployed.
