How Dockers rebuilt relevance by handing creators the mic
A heritage brand does not have a reach problem. It has a relevance problem, and those need different solutions.

01 — The challenge
A heritage name that younger buyers had stopped talking about.
Dockers is recognised almost universally, which is a different situation from being considered. Brand-led creative kept restating what Dockers is, while the audience it needed was deciding what to wear from people they follow.
Restating the brand louder would not fix it.
“Everyone knows the name. That is exactly the problem — knowing us is not the same as thinking of us when they get dressed.”
So the storytelling was handed to creators, and the best of it was whitelisted into paid.
02 — Our approach
Creator storytelling first, whitelisting to scale what worked.
Eighty-plus influencers produced genuine styling content rather than brand-approved scripts. Volume mattered here: it takes a wide bench to find the handful of voices an audience actually responds to.
Winners were then whitelisted — run as paid from the creator’s own handle — so the paid spend carried the credibility of the creator rather than the polish of a brand ad.
