Timeline

4 months from launch — Apr to Jul 2026

01 — The challenge

A new platform in a category students trust slowly.

Prépa PPL prepares French student pilots for the theoretical private pilot licence examination — nine modules and 128 questions aligned to the FFA and DGAC syllabus, sold as a subscription.

Student pilots are a small, cautious, tightly networked audience. They ask their instructor and their club before they trust a website, and a brand-new platform has neither reputation nor search history to lean on.

“A student pilot will spend two hundred euros an hour on flight time and still hesitate over a subscription, because failing the theory costs them a season.”

So growth had to come from being genuinely useful on the exact syllabus, quickly.

02 — Our approach

Map the published syllabus, then be the answer to each part of it.

The examination syllabus is public and finite: nine modules, a fixed question bank, a known structure. That is an unusually clear content map, and coverage was built directly against it rather than against generic aviation topics.

Four months from launch the property recorded 2,815 all-channel sessions and 2,395 new users, growing from 189 sessions in April to 1,575 in July 2026 — its best month, and the most recent.

These are GA4 all-channel sessions, covering direct, referral and social alongside search. No conversion or subscription data is published because the property records none in this window.

03 — What we did

Syllabus-mapped content, exam-cycle timing, measurement from day one.

A public syllabus is a content plan someone else already wrote.

The syllabus as the content map

Nine modules, 128 questions

Coverage follows the examinable structure exactly, so a student searching a specific module finds the specific answer rather than a landing page.

Demand follows the calendar

Student pilots prepare against sitting dates and the flying season. Content had to exist before each cycle rather than during it.

Growth is still accelerating at the end of the reported window, which is the useful signal this early — not the total.
