From position 30 to the top of page two, and eight times the monthly clicks
Stone is a considered, seasonal purchase with a short buying window each spring. If the site is not visible when the season opens, the year is already decided.

01 — The challenge
A seasonal catalogue ranking too deep to catch the season.
Stone Decorative sells decorative stone, gabion baskets and outdoor fireplaces — products bought in a narrow window when the ground thaws and landscaping projects start. By August 2025 the site averaged position 30.5 in Google and was down to 299 organic clicks that month.
Position thirty is not a ranking problem, it is an absence. The traffic that did arrive was too thin and too late to feed a season, and the tracked phone line reflected it.
“Our year is decided in a few weeks each spring. If people cannot find us in April, there is no catching up in July.”
Illustrative quote — written by Web Tonic to put the results above in an owner’s words. It is not a statement provided by the client.
The work was therefore built to be visible before the season, and measured on organic clicks and tracked calls rather than on impressions.
02 — Our approach
Rebuild ranking depth first, then let the season do its work.
Depth first. Average position moved from 30.51 in August 2025 to 14.13 by October 2025 and 11.02 by March 2026, then held between 11 and 12.1 through August 2026 — a level, not a spike.
Clicks followed. Monthly organic clicks went from 137 in December 2025 to 420 in March, 931 in May, 1,008 in June and 1,075 in August 2026, arriving in time for the buying season instead of after it.
Calls confirmed it. Tracked calls totalled 354 over the last twelve months against 191 in the matched twelve before, up 85.3%, and every tracked call in the last five months was answered.

03 — What we did
Four workstreams, one season to be ready for.
Ranking was rebuilt in winter so the spring window could be harvested.
Ranking recovery
Position 30.5 to 11.0, then held
Average position improved from 30.51 in August 2025 to 11.02 in March 2026 and stayed between 11.0 and 12.1 for the six months after — the sign of a structural gain rather than a one-month fluctuation.

Click volume
137 to 1,075 clicks a month
Monthly organic clicks multiplied 7.8 times across the recovery window: 137 in December 2025, 420 in March, 931 in May, 1,008 in June, 1,075 in August 2026.

Seasonal timing
Visible before the ground thawed
The gains landed in February and March rather than mid-summer, which is what makes them worth money in a business whose demand arrives with the landscaping season.

Tracked calls
354 calls, all recent ones answered
Tracked calls rose 85.3% year over year on matched months, 354 against 191, with a 100% answered rate across the last five months of the window.

04 — The results
Position 11, 1,075 clicks in the best month, calls up 85%.
