Entretien Squidgee · Exterior property maintenance · SEO — organic search · 2026
How an exterior maintenance company widened its reach 58%
Window washing, gutter cleaning and seasonal exterior work are subscription businesses pretending to be one-off jobs. The search behaviour reflects the one-off.

01 — The challenge
Several small seasonal services, none of them individually urgent.
Entretien Squidgee handles exterior property maintenance across Laval and Montreal's Rive-Nord — residential and commercial window washing, gutter cleaning and related seasonal work, sold both as one-off jobs and as maintenance packages.
None of these services carries emergency urgency, which is the core difficulty. Demand is discretionary and seasonal, so the site has to be present across several small service categories at the right moment rather than dominant in one.
“Nobody has a window-washing emergency. They notice the glass in April, think about it, and maybe call. I have to be there in the thinking stage.”
So coverage was widened across services and seasons.
02 — Our approach
Service and seasonal coverage, with subscription intent given its own path.
Each service was built out on its own — window washing, gutter cleaning and the seasonal exterior work around them — and the maintenance package offer was given a distinct path, since a recurring contract is a different decision from a single clean.
That widened the footprint 58% to 367,280 impressions.
The recurring maintenance package now has its own path, separate from the one-off clean — a different decision deserving a different page.
03 — What we did
Per-service coverage, seasonal timing, subscription path.
Reach improved. Click-through did not.
Per-service coverage
Gave each small service its own footing
Window washing, gutter cleaning and seasonal exterior work, rather than one maintenance page trying to serve all of them.
Seasonal timing
Present in the thinking stage
Discretionary demand arrives in predictable windows. Coverage was in place before each one.
Subscription path
Separated recurring from one-off
A maintenance contract is a different decision from a single clean, so it no longer shares a page.
Recurring work, its own path
A contract is not a single clean
The maintenance package was given a distinct route through the site, because committing to a recurring contract is a different decision from booking one visit.
04 — The results
Twelve matched months: impressions +58%, organic clicks +12%.
