The Innate Life

Proof before promise

The Innate Life formulates plant-based haircare in-house, in small batches, with dozens of herbs and oils per formula instead of the industry's one or two hero ingredients. That difference is the brand — and it only works if a shopper can see it before they add to cart.

01 — The challenge

Natural is the most crowded claim in beauty.

Every haircare brand on the shelf says clean, natural and plant-based. A shopper who has been disappointed twice does not believe the fourth label, so the store has to prove the claim rather than repeat it — full ingredient lists, how the products are made, and results from people with the same hair type.

On top of that, a catalogue split across scalp treatments, masks, oils, bundles and tools has to guide someone from a problem — thinning, frizz, itchy scalp — to the right product without making them read the whole shop.

02 — Our approach

Put the ingredients, the process and the results where the buying happens.

The storefront leads with the brand film and the founder's own routine, then immediately backs it with evidence: featured formulas, press logos, and a #RealHairStories band of before-and-after photos from real customers with the review count next to it.

The About page carries the part most brands hide — the definition of innate, the full list of herbs and plant oils used across the range, and a six-point promise covering in-house formulation, small batches, sourcing and fulfilment. It reads as a specification sheet, not a manifesto.

Collections are cut by intent rather than product type — for hair growth, pre-wash, bundles, brushes and tools, new products — so a shopper picks the outcome they want and lands on three or four relevant SKUs instead of a wall of bottles.

03 — The results

A clean, evidence-first storefront for a brand built on ingredients.

Working with Web Tonic has been a fantastic experience from start to finish. Their team took the time to understand our business goals and delivered exactly what they promised. Communication was excellent, and we've already seen a noticeable improvement in our online visibility. Highly recommended!
