Who we are

A partner who understands a six-month sales cycle and a seasonal calendar

Web Tonic is a digital marketing agency that runs high-ticket home improvement accounts every day, with one senior team handling search visibility, paid media, creative and the websites that carry them. Pool builders get their own plan because the work is structurally different from ordinary local services: the purchase is a financed capital project, the sales cycle runs for months, the season concentrates demand into a few quarters, and one bad-fit consultation can cost a designer a full day.

Sound familiar?

If you build pools, two of these will sound familiar.

Most companies we open are not short of enquiries. They are short of qualified ones. Designers spend their days on homeowners who wanted a $30,000 pool at $18,000, quotes go out and vanish, and the pipeline swings so hard between seasons that hiring becomes guesswork. Confidence in the trade is real — the PHTA’s Q4 2025 Quarterly Pulse Survey found more than 80% of building and remodeling firms expect revenue growth over the next twelve months — but converting that into a full build schedule is a qualification and follow-up problem, not a traffic problem.

01

Design consultations get booked with homeowners whose budget was never close to the project they described.

02

Quotes go out and go quiet, with no structured follow-up over a decision that takes families months.

03

Winter kills the pipeline, so spring starts from zero instead of from a backlog.

Results & timeline

Your first seven days with us.

Day 1

Day 1–2: Audit

We audit the business the way a homeowner experiences it: what shows in local search and the map results for pool construction in your service area, how your gallery and reviews compare with the competitors you lose to, how long an enquiry waits for a human reply, and whether your tracking can tell a remodel enquiry from a new-build enquiry. Most cannot, which is why cost per lead looks fine while the schedule does not.

Day 3

Day 3–4: Measurement and qualification

Measurement is rebuilt around signed contracts, with project type and value attached from the first touch. Then we fix qualification: budget and timeline questions asked before a designer’s day is committed, financing presented normally, and expectations set honestly. Modernize’s 2025 Homeowner Insights survey of more than 150,000 homeowners found nearly seven in ten homeowners research contractors online before they call, so the qualification starts on your pages.

Day 5

Day 5–6: Build and launch

Project pages, campaigns and a follow-up sequence go live together, starting where demand exists and your visibility does not — usually remodels and specific service towns. Creative leans on your own finished builds rather than manufacturer stock photography.

Day 7

Day 7: Review and scale

You get the first written review: what launched, cost per qualified consultation, which service areas are soft, and the 30-day roadmap. Then weekly sessions and reporting your salespeople can read.

for WHO

Why pool construction needs its own marketing plan

A pool is one of the largest discretionary purchases a household makes, and it behaves like one. Families research for months, compare galleries, ask neighbours, check finance options, then buy in a narrow window when the weather and their savings agree. Marketing built for same-day service calls does not fit that journey, and treating a pool enquiry like a repair call is how good builders lose good projects.

The current market rewards builders who plan for it. the PHTA’s Q4 2025 Quarterly Pulse Survey reported new-pool backlogs stretching to an average of five to six weeks late in 2025, with 35% of builders posting remodel revenue gains of 6% or more — renovation demand holding up while new construction stays selective. And how a homeowner chooses is unforgiving: Modernize’s 2025 Homeowner Insights survey of more than 150,000 homeowners found 37.93% say pushy sales tactics are the fastest way to lose their business, ahead of unclear quotes and poor communication.

So we run four things together: local search visibility per town and project type, paid search structured so spend maps to consultations that convert, paid social and creative built from your own finished builds, and galleries and enquiry flows that qualify before they book. One senior team, market exclusivity in writing, outcomes on our case studies.

What we run for pool builders and remodelers.

01

Local visibility for every town you actually serve

Homeowners search by project and by place: an inground pool in their suburb, a renovation quote near them, a specific feature they saw at a friend’s house. So the organic work is concrete — real pages for the projects you want more of, a page for each area that says something true about that area, a gallery organised by project type rather than by upload date, and a review programme that keeps you visible where families compare quotes.

Service-area pages are where most companies lose ground. Twenty near-identical town pages compete with each other and convince nobody; a handful of genuinely local pages, each with real projects and real detail, outperform them.

02

Paid media judged on qualified consultations

We run search, PPC, Meta and short video with budgets shaped around your season rather than spread evenly across twelve months, and with qualification built into the path so designers are not spending their days on projects that were never fundable.

Cost per signed contract decides where spend goes. A campaign that wins on cost per lead while filling the calendar with tyre-kickers gets rebuilt, not defended.

03

Follow-up through a decision that takes months

Most lost pool sales are not lost at the quote. They are lost in the silence after it. We build the follow-up that keeps you present while a family decides: design options, financing context, honest timelines, and proof from builds like theirs — then a clean handoff back to your salesperson at the moment interest returns.

The same system revives last season’s quotes. For most builders, the fastest revenue available in January is sitting in the unconverted quotes from June.

Services

(04)
A flat screen tv sitting on top of a wooden table.

Paid media across Google search, PPC, Meta and short video, structured by project type and service area, with budget weighted to your season and creative drawn from your own completed builds. Every dollar traces to a consultation and, where the CRM allows, to a signed contract.

Video does unusual work in this trade because a pool is bought on imagination. A walkthrough of a finished backyard, a time-lapse of a build, or a designer explaining why a plan changed does more to earn a consultation than any discount graphic — and it keeps working through the off-season when families are planning rather than buying.

Content and creative for a long, visual decision: project pages by pool type, galleries organised so a homeowner can find something like their own yard, honest cost-range guidance, and short video shot once and cut for every platform. The builder who answers the money question plainly is usually the one who gets the call.

Data intelligence: call tracking, deduplicated form events, and one dashboard showing cost per qualified consultation and cost per signed contract by project type and area, plus how many quotes are sitting unanswered.

The same reporting answers the questions above campaign level: which service areas deserve another crew, when to shift budget from new builds to remodels, and how early to start next spring’s demand so the season opens with a backlog.

Websites and enquiry flows built to convert: fast galleries, project pages that load on a phone in a backyard, financing presented clearly, and forms that ask the two questions your designers need before a consultation is booked.

faq

Answered questions.

Everything you might want to know—up front.

1
Do you work with new-build pool contractors or remodelers?

Both, and the mix matters. New construction is the bigger ticket and the slower decision; remodeling and resurfacing convert faster and hold up better when interest rates make families cautious. Most contractors we work with want both funnels running, measured separately, with budget able to move between them as the season shifts. We work with clients across the USA and Canada.

We also hold market exclusivity: one contractor per market, written into the agreement, so we are never competing with a client.

2
How long before we see results?

Paid search and remodel campaigns can produce consultations in the first weeks, because homeowners are already searching in your area. Gallery, enquiry-form and follow-up fixes usually show inside 30 days. Local organic visibility across a full service area is a two-to-three-quarter programme — and anyone promising to own the map results in every town by spring has not looked at how local rankings work.

Season matters to the plan: starting in autumn means spring opens with a backlog, while starting in May means competing for attention at the most expensive moment of the year.

3
How is pricing structured?

A fixed monthly fee, quoted separately from ad spend, scoped to your coverage area and the channels you need. After the audit you get a plan tied to targets — cost per qualified consultation first, then cost per signed contract — and we will tell you which channels we would not run yet rather than selling the full bundle on day one.

4
How do you stop unqualified consultations from wasting designer time?

By doing the qualifying before the calendar invite, which is the part most builders enjoy immediately. Pages carry honest cost ranges so budget expectations are set early, forms ask about timeline and project scope, financing is introduced as a normal option, and campaigns are targeted to the areas and property types where your work actually sells. Volume of enquiries usually drops. Signed contracts per designer day goes up, which is the number that pays your team.

5
What happens to our pipeline in the off-season?

It becomes the most valuable quarter you have, if it is used. Families plan pools in winter and sign in spring, so off-season budget goes into demand capture and nurture: design content, planning guides, remarketing to everyone who browsed the gallery, and reviving last year’s unconverted quotes. Builders who do this open the season with a backlog instead of a blank schedule — and they pay less per consultation for it.

6
We already get referrals and repeat business. Why bring in an agency?

Because referrals are a great foundation and an unpredictable schedule. They arrive when they arrive, they rarely match your crew capacity, and they leave you invisible to the homeowner who starts with a search. Adding a measurable channel underneath the word of mouth is what makes the build calendar plannable, and it usually improves the referrals too — a family who was referred still checks your gallery and reviews before calling.

What you get is a named senior strategist rather than a coordinator relaying questions, with paid, organic, creative and web specialists on one team. Most builders arrive from two or three vendors who each optimise their own report; one team means one set of numbers and one weekly review. If the fix is smaller than a full retainer, we scope to the fix and say so on the first call.

The strategies that hold up in this trade are unglamorous: one accurate listing, one honest page per project type, photographs of your own work, tracked phone numbers, and a follow-up sequence that outlasts a family’s deliberation. That is the work.
