How we vet every listicle
Every agency featured on Web Tonic passes our 84-point editorial review before a single listicle goes live. This is how we vet each pick:
Verified client outcomes: We require real case studies with measurable KPIs — revenue, ROAS, CPA, retention — tied to the exact category being ranked. No cherry-picked wins, no unverifiable numbers.
Independent reputation: We cross-check Clutch, Google, G2, and Trustpilot ratings, and screen for review-bombing or suspicious patterns. Only operators with a consistent, verifiable track record make the cut.
Beyond that, every listing goes through a quarterly re-audit. We check 84 criteria across 6 pillars to make sure it still holds up — here are some of the checks we run:
A graphic design agency builds the visual system a business runs on: identity and logo lockups, typography and colour rules, packaging and print production artwork, editorial layout, presentation and social templates, plus the guidelines that keep other people applying it correctly.

Twelve Mexico City agencies cleared our evidence check, judged on what their own sites publish about design work rather than marketing in general. All twelve are Mexico City companies, three name a verifiable client, and none publishes a rate.
Which graphic design agencies in Mexico City are worth shortlisting in 2026?
Twelve external agencies cleared our evidence check and all twelve publish a Mexico City head office. Three name at least one client we could verify on their own site, and not one of the twelve publishes a rate in public.

Frequently Asked Questions
Only three of twelve name a client. Is that a problem?
It is a question rather than a verdict. Limon con Chile names Save the Children, Hooters and Grupo Gusi, Cherry Bomb Creative names Chok Chok and Notioneers, and Creative Studio names Fabricaciones y Maquinados. Nine agencies publish nobody, which in a market with heavy white-label subcontracting through larger networks is common. Ask those nine for two contactable references from companies your size, and ask the referees specifically about deadlines and revisions.
Do I need Spanish and English versions of the identity?
Decide it before design starts, not after. Bilingual systems affect line lengths, tagline lockups and every template you will produce for years, and Spanish typically runs longer than English, which breaks tight layouts. If you sell into the United States as well as Mexico, specify both languages in the brief and ask candidates to show a live bilingual application rather than a mockup made for the pitch.
Who owns the source files and the font licences at the end?
Settle it in the contract, not after launch. You should receive layered artwork, the vector logo in every lockup, and typeface licences registered to your company, with desktop, web and app rights listed separately. A brand built on a face licensed to the studio is one you rent, and the renewal invoice tends to arrive a year later when nobody remembers who chose the typeface.
Nobody publishes a rate. How do I compare quotes fairly?
Put every agency on one scope sheet before they quote. List the primary logo and lockups, the colour and type system, a stated number of applications, a guidelines document, and how many revision rounds the fee covers. Then ask for a figure against that list. A monthly number with no unit behind it cannot be compared, and it is usually the quote that quietly shrinks later.
Do I need a full rebrand or better applications of what I have?
Most companies asking for a rebrand actually need applications. If the mark is sound but your decks, packaging and campaigns look like five different companies, the fix is a template and asset system with somebody maintaining it. A full identity project earns its cost when positioning has genuinely changed, when businesses are merging, or when the current mark falls apart at small sizes and on dark backgrounds.
Choosing a Graphic Design Agency in Mexico City
Decide the purchase before you read a proposal. An identity build and an ongoing artwork retainer are separate engagements, and these twelve agencies are not equally good at both. Put the decision in the brief, because it changes the price completely.
Weigh the evidence you can see. Three name a client and nine publish nobody, so ask those nine for two references you can call and let the calls settle it. Ask each referee how the agency handled the third round of changes.
Specify the languages in the brief. Spanish and English lockups, longer line lengths and template testing belong there, because a bilingual system retrofitted later costs more than one designed upfront. Request a live bilingual example rather than a mockup built for the pitch.
Then use the consultation properly: ask how the system carries into ad creative, what it means for your website, and which numbers get reported afterwards. Ask for those answers in writing before the contract is signed.
