How we vet every listicle
Every agency featured on Web Tonic passes our 84-point editorial review before a single listicle goes live. This is how we vet each pick:
Verified client outcomes: We require real case studies with measurable KPIs — revenue, ROAS, CPA, retention — tied to the exact category being ranked. No cherry-picked wins, no unverifiable numbers.
Independent reputation: We cross-check Clutch, Google, G2, and Trustpilot ratings, and screen for review-bombing or suspicious patterns. Only operators with a consistent, verifiable track record make the cut.
Beyond that, every listing goes through a quarterly re-audit. We check 84 criteria across 6 pillars to make sure it still holds up — here are some of the checks we run:
An email marketing agency owns the messages a company sends to people who already gave it an address: the welcome, abandoned basket and win-back automations, the newsletter and promotional calendar, the list segmentation and consent record behind them, the templates and copy, and the deliverability and revenue reporting that decides whether any of it earned its place in the inbox.

Ten agencies serving Brussels cleared our evidence check, judged on what their own sites publish about email and lifecycle work rather than on a general service list. Eight sit in Brussels proper, three name a client, and none publishes a rate.
How many Brussels email marketing agencies are based in Brussels proper?
Eight of the ten external firms publish an address in Brussels proper. Youpi Media sits in Ixelles inside the capital region, and Fresh Organic Motion works from western France. Three firms name a client, and none publishes a rate.
1. Web Tonic
About: Web Tonic runs email inside one growth programme, so the flows are briefed against the same demand data as the acquisition campaigns that build the list, and sends, sessions and revenue are read in one reporting layer. Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Brussels produce only ten agencies?
Because the bar is published evidence of email work rather than a listing. Brussels is a small market with a high concentration of institutional and corporate communications work, and many agency sites talk about brand and campaign production without describing flows, segmentation or deliverability. Ten firms cleared that check. A share of Belgian lifecycle email also runs through in-house CRM teams and never carries an agency name.
Two firms are outside Brussels proper. Why list them?
Youpi Media publishes an address in Ixelles, a commune inside the Brussels-Capital Region rather than the city proper, and Fresh Organic Motion works Belgian accounts from Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu in France. Neither is a quality signal by itself, and Ixelles is a short tram ride from the centre. We print both so a service-area page does not read as a city-centre office.
Does a Brussels list have to be bilingual?
Usually, and that decision belongs at the start rather than after launch. Brussels lists mix French, Dutch and English subscribers, and sending one language to all of them costs you engagement and, over time, deliverability. Ask each firm how it captures language preference at signup, whether copy is written natively or translated, and how many versions of a campaign the monthly fee actually covers.
Three firms name clients. What should I make of that?
Read it as evidence of sector and scale, not a ranking. Creativeroom publishes TotalEnergies and MyBank, 8UP Media names AB InBev, Kärcher and Ethias, and Waikiki names Galler, Fairtrade and Linklaters among a long list. The other seven keep their rosters private, which is normal on retainers. Ask each firm for two references in your sector and one recent programme with figures behind it.
No rates anywhere. How do I compare Belgian proposals?
None of the ten external firms prints a fee, and Belgian agencies sell email as a monthly retainer, a project build or part of a wider communications budget, sometimes with translation billed separately. Normalise first. Ask how many campaigns and automations a month the fee covers, how many language versions are included, who pays the sending platform, and what leaves with you when the contract ends.
Choosing an Email Marketing Agency in Brussels
Eight of the ten external firms publish an address in Brussels proper. Youpi Media sits in Ixelles inside the capital region and Fresh Organic Motion works from western France, which we print rather than hide.
Three of the ten name a client. TotalEnergies, AB InBev, Kärcher, Ethias and Fairtrade appear on these sites, so read those rosters for sector fit, then ask the other seven firms for two references each.
No external firm here publishes a rate. Normalise every quote into campaigns per month, language versions, automations built, platform licence and exit terms before you compare two numbers.
Decide the language split before the design. A bilingual list handled as one audience will quietly cost you engagement long before anyone blames the template. If you would rather have the organic demand, the paid search that feeds the list and the email programme reporting to one number, read our latest analysis or see how we work in Brussels.
