Hello everyone, and welcome to this new video. Today's menu, I'm going to try to answer the question I probably get asked twice a week, which is: "Is Google Ads right for my business? Is the niche I'm in, are the products and services I offer suitable for Google Ads advertising placement?" So we're going to try to answer it together quickly in this video by simply asking ourselves three questions.
The first thing to look at is, of course, the search volume on Google. So, for keywords related to your service, for example, if you're a window cleaner, people would probably search for "window cleaning" on Google. Is the keyword "window cleaning" searched for in your area? So, for example, if you offer your services on [0:57], will the clicks for "window cleaner" [0:59] have a high enough monthly search volume to make it worthwhile? Are there enough people searching on Google to make it worthwhile to create a campaign? There are some software programs, of course, that exist, and then at the end of this video, I'm going to show you some that will allow you to roughly evaluate whether it's only five people searching for your services or rather whether there are two thousand or more, then it can start to be worthwhile.
Second point to look at: This is not a very precise or scientific point, but it can give you some idea; it's to look at your competitors. If you have a competitor who has been running Google Ads non-stop for six months, twelve months, eighteen months, it can give you an idea whether this Google Ads is profitable.
Third point to consider: This is often underestimated by entrepreneurs, it is, are you able to take on more. If you are a solopreneur and then you do everything yourself and then you are booked for the first three weeks, but, creating a Google Ads campaign having to manage lists, having to manage additional controls, it may not be the thing you need at the moment. There is of course an exception, if for example, you want to grow. At the same time, you are fully booked at the moment but you intend to hire employees, it can be something that will allow you to obtain more lists, additional controls, it can be something that is very interesting. But if you are fully booked, this is a mistake that I often see among entrepreneurs, solopreneurs especially those who want to do Facebook Ads, they want to do SEO , they want to do Google Ads; they want to be everywhere but they do not need jobs; They don't need jobs, checks, new checks at the moment, so you really have to be careful, you have to ask yourself the question: Do I want to hire or do I want availability in the coming weeks?
So quickly, we're going to jump on my computer and then I'm going to show you two programs that will allow you to look at the monthly search volume roughly for given terms. So, to know if in your geographic area near you, if you offer a service, are there enough people on Google to make it worth building a Google Ads campaign.
So great, we're now on my computer, and then we're going to look at the first of the two software programs that allow you to check the search volume for a certain keyword. So all you have to do is go to Google and type in "Kwfinder." You take the link kwfinder.com, which takes us to an interface that looks like this one. So create an account, it's free; you're going to need it for what comes next; an account is free, and it gives you five one-word searches per day. So next, we're going to go to "Suggestions" and then you're going to type in your main service. For example, if you're a window cleaner, well, it would be "window cleaning." You look in your area; for example, if you're from Montreal, then you're on "Any language." Since we're in Quebec, and well, there are as many people who use a Google Chrome interface in French as in English. So we're simply going to go to "Find keywords." It's going to load a little bit and then it's going to give us a pop-up! Normally, it works; External API problem, we're just going to reload that. And there you go, there was a little error there. Okay, that gives us several ideas for search terms that are related to our main keyword. But if we look at our main keyword in Montreal, we have about 260 searches per word with an average CPC per click of $3.23; if we look at the rest, "window washer" with 140; "window cleaner" with 30. So if we add all that up, we really have a good amount, so it confirms to us that the service "window washing" on Google, is a service that is sought after; which confirms to us by the fact of creating or not, a Google Ads campaign, to see if it's worth it or not like for a marketing agency.
So, the second software we're going to look at together is, of course, the official Google Ads software, the Keyword Planner, the keyword planner tool. A little clarification: you need to have a Google Ads account to use this software and then you need to have a Google Ads account that already has active campaigns, that has already spent money, to have precise figures. If we've never spent anything with Google Ads on our account, we'll have estimates. So for example, we'll look at the keyword "window cleaning" and then it will give us a search volume of 1 to 10,000; which is really not very useful because we don't have a precise figure. So to access the Google Ads keyword planner tool, you simply need to go to the Google Ads Dashboard. Go to the top right, click on "Tools" and then we'll go to "Keyword Planner Tool". We'll choose one of the two options in this case. So we're going to go to the left option "Search for new keywords." And then we're going to enter our services. So for example, for me, it would be "window cleaning" because, for example, I'm a window cleaner in Montreal. We're going to click on "start." At the top, we might have a location, a language, and then Google's search networks. For example, I'm in Montreal, so we're going to enter Montreal; we're going to Quebec City to keep Montreal; we're going to save. Language French is fine; and then we're going to go down, we're going to look at this together. So "window cleaning" has 260 monthly searches. And then, well, once again, it's comparable to kwfinder that we used a little earlier. It's window washer, window cleaner, window cleaning, etc. 140, 30 monthly searches, 50 searches, etc. So we're going to see here that for "window cleaning" in Montreal, it's worth doing Google Ads. There are enough searches per month to make it worthwhile for me to run a website creation campaign.
With that, I hope I've shed a little light on the question everyone asks me: "Is Google Ads right for my business?" If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at the bottom of this video. Contact us directly on our website webtonic
